Peggy Brown

Peggy Brown is a masters-prepared Registered Nurse that has a passion for leading, teaching and mentoring. Born and raised in Albemarle, NC, Peggy always knew her career path would entail helping others. During high school she took her first steps in the healthcare field completing her Certified Nursing Assistant Certification at Albemarle High School. This started her pathway and passion for the healthcare industry and, undoubtably, the growth in compassion of caring for others. She began by working at a Children’s home in Mount Gilead as a developmental specialist. This passion and attachment warranted her to pursue the healthcare field even further, where she applied to North Carolina Central University School of Nursing.

 

Throughout Peggy’s time at North Carolina Central she was inducted in both the Golden Key International Honour Society and Sigma Theta Tau, National Nursing Honor Society. These achievements were accomplished while still actively tackling avenues in the health arena, including home health and long-term care. She later graduated from North Carolina Central Cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and progressed her career as a Medical-Surgical nurse.

 

As a natural born leader and teacher, her staff position rapidly transitioned to a nursing preceptor, charge nurse and roles as house supervisor. She enjoyed the ability to help others grow and transform while providing support and education in such transitions. As a passionate Medical-Surgical nurse she continued her journey with joining a larger facility. With the importance of continuous education and her drive for self-growth she pursed her Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a concentration in leadership. In learning more with leadership and education she began her role as Co-Owner of Vitality Educational Services. She now aides as Administrator for a family care home and a Clinical Nurse Mentor at a medical facility. In these roles Peggy continues to lead, teach, and mentor.

Outside of work, Peggy is very family- oriented and loves spending time with her son, close family, and friends. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling around the world. Peggy still resides in Albemarle, NC and looks forward to working with you soon!
